In the 1st quarter of this game, it looked like the Colts were going to win by 100 and Jonathan Taylor was going to have 500 yards rushing . He was running with ease. He had 93 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries, with 3 quarters to go. Then the Colts special teams scored on a blocked punt and it looked like the game could be over early.
But then the game really slowed down in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Neither team could move the ball and mostly traded punts back and forth.
The Colts lead by 11 heading into the 4th quarter. It seemed like the final period would be a lot like the previous 2, but the Jaguars changed that with a touchdown with 10 minutes to go. They would get the 2-point conversion and make it a 3-point game.
The Colts continued to struggle to move the ball and it looked like they somehow might let this one slip away, but a huge pass from Wenz to Pittman Jr. put the Colts in field goal range late in the game. Badgley kicked it through, and a sack fumble on the final drive would finish the game.
Colts win 23-17 and move to 5-5 on the season. They’ve got a tough game next week in Buffalo against 6-3 Bills.
